Homestead Entertainment and Bronx Bridge Films solidify their partnership with a five-year movie deal to deliver underrepresented, faith-based stories to Black audiences.
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Bronx Bridge Films has entered into a new agreement with Homestead Entertainment. The two companies, best known for their 2023 drama, "Crossover: The Revenge," are strengthening their working relationship with a new, five-year movie deal. The deal is expected to bring more faith-based content to black audiences. "This is a great deal for Homestead Entertainment and Bronx Bridge," Rob Johnson, owner of Homestead, said recently. "Our renewed partnership with Bronx Bridge Films underscores Homestead Entertainment's unwavering dedication to amplifying diverse voices and narratives within the often-underrepresented faith-based film landscape. With this significant five-year agreement, we are strategically poised to deliver even more impactful and thought-provoking stories. These stories will resonate deeply and authentically with Black audiences, ultimately fostering a greater sense of belonging, cultural pride, and positive representation in cinema for years to come." Christopher Brown, owner of Bronx Bridge, also spoke highly of the deal, referring to it as an "opportunity to pursue his passion for developing urban and faith-based content. We about to shake it up!" he said.
Both companies first worked together in 2022 with Josh Webber's "Dear Frank." Starring Lil Durk and Claudia Jordan, the film follows Frank (Brian J. White) as he hunts for his wife's killer after she is poisoned.
Later this year, Bronx Bridge will release "God's Green Earth," the story of a fourth-generation family farm on the brink of foreclosure. Directed by E.W. Brooks, the Mafietta filmmaker has assembled a cast of leading Gospel singers, including Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Le'Andria Johnson, and Travis Malloy. In an Instagram post from last week, Brown announced that more cast members would be announced shortly.
Created in 2020, Homestead Entertainment has cemented itself as one of the fastest-growing black owned and operated distribution companies in the independent film industry. With a dedicated focus on distributing original content created by, and for, marginalized groups, the company's partnership with Bronx Bridge "immediately made sense," Johnson said.
