New network membership strengthens DDF's connections with organizations serving veterans, service members, and military families, while advancing H. pylori awareness and stomach cancer prevention.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF) has joined the Bob Woodruff Foundation's Got Your 6 Network, a national network of organizations committed to supporting veterans, service members, and their families. Through the network, DDF will connect with organizations and leaders across the military and veteran community. The Foundation will also participate in educational and collaborative opportunities, conferences, and other military- and veteran-focused events.
The affiliation aligns with DDF's growing Military Initiative and its efforts to advance awareness, education, and advocacy around Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) testing and stomach cancer prevention. Military personnel may face increased risk of H. pylori exposure during deployments to regions where the infection is more common, making testing and prevention an important area of focus for DDF.
"Joining the Got Your 6 Network gives DDF an important opportunity to build stronger connections within the military and veteran community," said Amanda Pullinger, CEO of Debbie's Dream Foundation. "As we continue to develop our Military Initiative, these relationships can help us raise awareness of H. pylori and stomach cancer risk, identify opportunities for collaboration, and ensure that the needs of service members, veterans, and their families are part of the conversation."
The Got Your 6 Network brings together more than 500 organizations nationwide serving the military and veteran community. Network partners share resources, knowledge, and best practices, and are also eligible to apply for conference scholarships that support participation in relevant national events.
