Florida Gubernatorial Candidate Files Emergency Lawsuit Against X Corp. Over Political Ad Restrictions

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., April 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida gubernatorial candidate Jayson (Yerucham) Winer has filed a lawsuit and emergency motion against X Corp., seeking immediate court intervention after being blocked from accessing the platform's advertising tools during a critical phase of the election cycle.
According to the filing, X restricted Winer's ability to promote political content while citing unspecified policy violations, but failed to identify any specific breach or provide a mechanism to appeal or correct the issue.
"This is about fairness and transparency in an election," said Winer. "Restricting a candidate's ability to communicate with voters—without explanation or recourse—is unacceptable."
The lawsuit seeks an emergency court order requiring X to either restore access to its advertising platform or provide a clear explanation of the alleged violations along with a defined path to compliance.
The filing raises broader questions about how major platforms regulate political speech and advertising access during elections.
Winer's accounts, @MrBlack4384 and @JAYSONW84, serve as primary platforms for his political communication and campaign messaging.
The case has been filed in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.
