Messina most recently led mergers and acquisitions for Crowley, one of the nation's leading logistics and maritime services providers.

His addition enhances Heritage's ability to serve clients throughout the global transportation ecosystem while leveraging the reach of Oaklins, the world's largest mid-market M&A advisory network, which completed 22 transportation and logistics transactions over the past year.

Messina brings more than three decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, valuation, and strategic advisory services. Throughout his career, he has advised public and private companies, private equity sponsors, and entrepreneur-owned businesses on strategic transactions across the supply chain, logistics, transportation, technology, and industrial sectors.

Prior to joining Heritage Capital Group, Messina served as Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Crowley, where he led the company's M&A and corporate venture investment initiatives. During his tenure, he established and led Crowley Ventures, oversaw strategic acquisitions and investments, structured significant capital transactions, and played a key role in transformative deals, including the formation of Fairwater, a merger valued at $1.2 billion.

Earlier in his career, Messina served as President of BG Strategic Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on supply chain and technology transactions. He also held senior leadership roles at Navigant Consulting (now Ankura), Duff & Phelps, Grant Thornton, PwC, Houlihan Lokey, and Credit Suisse First Boston. Messina earned an MBA from Boston University Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College.
