Today, Code.org announced the next chapter: the Hour of AI, a global initiative developed in collaboration with CSforALL and supported by dozens of leading organizations. In an effort to help schools keep pace with AI innovation, the Hour of AI is designed to give families and educators simple and fun activities from high-quality partners that demystify AI and empower people to shape the future—not just watch it unfold.

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms how we live, work, and learn, the Hour of AI reflects an evolution in Code.org's mission: expanding from computer science education into AI literacy. This shift signals how the education and technology fields are adapting to the times, ensuring that students are prepared for the future unfolding now.

Taking place during Computer Science Education Week (December 8-12, 2025), the Hour of AI aims to ensure that all learners have the opportunity to understand, explore, and create with artificial intelligence. During the Hour of AI, learners will be prompted to express their creativity with the help of AI through a mashup of music and synchronized dance. Using a blend of coding and AI tools, participants will design dancers, remix music, and choreograph original routines, bringing it all together in a one-of-a-kind creation to share with the world. This activity exemplifies Code.org's AI-focused curriculum and underscores the organization's leadership in preparing the education system for the opportunities and challenges of AI. Partners will create dozens of activities for a variety of subjects, catering to both students and adults.
