Xulon Press presents a fully illustrated fictional story for children of all ages, an intriguing, entertaining story that demonstrates how God can provide even in the strangest of circumstances.
LEROY, N.Y., Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Author John Gariboldi gives young readers a fun fictional story to read with an encouraging lesson of good morals and Christian values that parents and caregivers will appreciate in Little Lopsys in the Big Woods: The Search for Little Roo ($16.49, paperback, 9798868524141; $28.49, hardcover, 9798868524158; $6.99, e-book, 9798868524165).
Gariboldi's juvenile Christian fiction takes young readers on a fun, exciting and suspenseful adventure as the "Lopsy" rabbit children go on a desperate search for their missing little sister, Ruthie (Roo). Precarious Roo wandered from the safety of the rabbit hole, alone, in pursuit of her favorite butterfly despite knowing that Mom and Pop Lopsy warned about the dangers in the "big and terrible woods."
Following the story with full-color illustrations, young Christians will be intrigued as the Lopsy siblings explore unknown lands and cross dangerous paths with a wolf, coyotes, a fox, and a large snake. Will little Roo survive the predators of the big woods alone? What will happen when paths cross the rabbit hunters? Afraid and alone, with prayer and God on their side, the rabbits must find the courage to rescue their little sister. But will they all survive?
"Many years ago, God gave me a dream about this story," said Gariboldi. "I woke up and quickly wrote it down. It was as vivid and real as a movie. It actually played out as a cartoon movie in my mind! This was before I was married and had children. I had just become a Christian and I loved to write. Fast forward to the present and here I am now, married and we have 8 children. All of which fit the characters in the dream/book! For the last few years, I have been working on it through much prayer and time in front of the computer, continually adding to it. That, along with a trip to the country, led me to the idea with the barn and the 'unusually warm fall day'. I am excited to share the dream with the world and hopefully for generations to come. It was a gift from God. He is the (Holy) Ghost writer. All Glory goes to Him. I LOVE writing with Him. He has great ideas!"
John Gariboldi is a Pastor and evangelist. He enjoys the country and sitting in the woods, fields, beaches, mountains, just about anywhere in God's creation. He also enjoys talking to people and getting to know them and then presenting the Love of God to them. Having a hearing impaired daughter, Gariboldi learned sign language and takes the time to know and understand the deaf community as much as possible. In addition to spending time with his family, working hard and serving God, Gariboldi enjoys telling stories (even true stories,) in addition to making people laugh, hunting, and riding his bike. He especially loves to explain and defend who God is.
