According to industry data from the National Automobile Dealers Association, luxury vehicle repair costs have increased by 23 percent over the past three years, with Audi-specific repairs averaging $987 per service visit after warranty expiration. The average clutch replacement for an Audi Q8, for example, costs between $2,800 and $3,500 at authorized service centers.
"The expansion of our Audi coverage responds to market demand for post-warranty protection as these vehicles age beyond their factory coverage periods," said a Nova Warranty representative. "With Audi vehicles incorporating increasingly complex electronic systems and turbocharged engines, repair costs have risen substantially, particularly for models like the Q5 and Q8."
The company offers two distinct Audi extended warranty plans. The Nova Powertrain plan covers engine, transmission, drive axle, electrical systems, cooling system, and brakes. The Nova Superior plan adds coverage for turbos and superchargers, all-wheel or four-wheel drive systems, differential assembly, suspension systems, air conditioning and heating, fuel system, anti-lock braking system, and advanced electronics.
Both plans include 24-hour roadside assistance, towing services, rental car reimbursement, and trip interruption coverage. The company employs mechanics trained specifically on Audi vehicles and their repair requirements.
The expansion comes as the extended warranty industry experiences growth driven by increasing vehicle complexity and repair costs. According to the Service Contract Industry Council, the vehicle service contract market has grown by 8 percent annually since 2020, with luxury vehicle coverage representing the fastest-growing segment.
