International Driving School Provides Maryland Road Test Preparation and 36-Hour Driver Education
Rockville, United States - October 19, 2026 / International Driving School /
International Driving School, based in Rockville, Maryland, has structured its driver education offerings around the state-required 36-hour program, combining online Zoom-based classroom instruction with hands-on behind-the-wheel training to serve new drivers and their families in the region. Its instruction supports Maryland learner drivers; licensing and testing requirements remain under the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA).
A Structured Path Through Maryland Drivers Education
The 36-hour Maryland drivers education program at International Driving School is divided into two components: 30 hours of online classroom instruction delivered via Zoom and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training conducted in a vehicle with an instructor. Scheduled Zoom classes provide a remote classroom option; students should verify current class times before enrolling, while the in-car sessions provide direct practice on public roads.
Maryland's MVA establishes the licensing and testing requirements that govern all driver education programs in the state. Families seeking the official rules, age requirements, and permit procedures should consult the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration directly, as those requirements are set by the state and are subject to change.
Behind-the-Wheel Training and Road Test Car Rental
Beyond the standard 36-hour course, International Driving School offers additional behind-the-wheel instruction for students who want more time on the road before their licensing exam. This is separate from the school's Road Test car rental service, which allows students to use a school vehicle at the MVA testing location on the day of their road test.
Before booking the school's road-test car rental, ask which practice time and check-in assistance are included and whether additional instruction is available. Confirm the meeting time, vehicle arrangements and current fees directly with the school. Maryland road test preparation services are separate from the official examination, which is administered by the MVA.
Driver Improvement and Safety Programs
International Driving School also offers driver improvement and safety programs, which serve a different audience than new-driver education. These courses are designed for licensed drivers who may need to complete a state-ordered program or who want a structured refresher on safe driving practices. The availability and format of these programs, like all offerings at the school, should be confirmed directly through the school's website, as class schedules and enrollment details may vary.
Enrollment and Availability
As a Rockville driving school, International Driving School serves new drivers and families throughout the Maryland region. Because class availability, scheduling, and program details can change, prospective students and parents are encouraged to visit internationaldrivingmd.com to review current course options and confirm enrollment information before registering. The school's website reflects the most current information on class formats, scheduling, and the road test vehicle rental process.
