SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Council for Disability Income Awareness (CDIA) is pleased to announce that Tracie Foster has been appointed President, effective November 1, 2026. Foster succeeds Bob Herum, a longtime disability insurance industry leader who is retiring after serving as CDIA president for three years.

Foster previously served as AVP, Group Protection Products and Regional/National Markets Management, at Lincoln Financial. She was Director, Market Segment, at The Standard, where she led the integration of Anthem Life's life, disability, and absence products. Before that, she spent nearly 17 years at Anthem, leading product and business development for its life and disability portfolio. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at CIGNA Group Insurance and Integrated DisAbility Resources. She also spent 16 years at Hartford Life, where she managed the group disability product portfolio.
